Dishwasher

About the role

Midtown is looking for dishwashers to join its cafe team and help deliver a great restaurant experience. The role involves working 28-40 hours a week across 3-5 shifts, with weekend and holiday availability required.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the dish room and kitchen
• Operate all ware-washing machinery
• Ensure all food service and preparation ware is clean and sanitized
• Scrape and spray food service ware before loading it into the machine
• Rack china and glassware properly by type and size to avoid breakage
• Store ware in the designated areas and keep the ware-washing area clean and safe, including drains and machinery at the end of each shift
• Carry out special kitchen cleaning projects as assigned

Required profile

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Excellent communication skills and strong customer service attitude
• Professional references and a willingness to comply with Department of Health sanitary guidelines
• Bonus points for current ServSafe certification (food handler and allergen)
