Dishwasher

About the role

Legends & ASM Global, which manages public assembly facilities, has an immediate opening for a Dishwasher at the Dayton Convention Center. The role keeps all small wares, utensils, kitchen equipment, food preparation areas and storage areas clean and organized, in line with SAVOR standards and Health Department regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Scrape, wash, sanitize and store china, flatware, glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment according to SAVOR standards and health regulations.
• Collect dirty small wares from scullery points and return them to the dish area, and put clean small wares back in their storage areas.
• Maintain the kitchen and storage areas in an organized manner and clean food prep areas daily.
• Keep floors clean and dry by sweeping and mopping to avoid slip hazards.
• Help Front of House during busy events, set up break-down stations, and organize plates, lids, hot boxes and tables for plate-up and plating.
• Transport loaded hot boxes to pass-out stations and provide busing and cleanup support for Food & Beverage services.
• Dispose of trash, including hosing out garbage cans.
• Meet uniform and appearance standards and follow other instructions from management.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating a commercial dish machine is preferred.
• Basic food preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to take direction and work well in a team, and to stay calm in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to work long hours standing, walking and on stairs, in a loud environment, and to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavy wheeled carts.
• Willingness to work late hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
