Concessions Cashier - Part-Time

About the role

The Dayton Convention Center, a 150,000 sq. ft. event facility managed by Legends & ASM Global, is hiring a Concessions Cashier on a part-time basis. Working under general supervision, the role takes orders and receives payment at the food stations. The position is open immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Set up the concession stand before opening with condiments, napkins, utensils and other supplies.
• Take customer orders and pass them to the kitchen.
• Operate the cash register, punching in orders, accepting cash and credit cards and giving change.
• Serve customers' food in a timely manner and organize and serve them.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and clients.
• Clean and maintain the concession stands.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Willingness to learn simple concession machine operations.
• Basic working knowledge of cash register and cash handling procedures.
• Able to pass a credit background check; Alcohol Awareness Card preferred.
• Flexible hours, as irregular hours may exist.
• Physical demands include standing for long periods, lifting and carrying up to 20-50 lbs for up to 10 minutes at a time, and repetitive hand-eye coordination.
