Director/Manager of Financial Reporting

About the role
We are seeking an experienced financial reporting leader to shape how business performance is communicated to executive leadership, the board, and key stakeholders in Greenville, South Carolina. The role transforms complex financial and operational data into clear, decision‑support reporting that highlights trends, risks, and opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of recurring executive and board reporting materials, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and audience relevance.
- Convert financial and operating results into concise commentary that explains performance drivers, key risks, and emerging opportunities.
- Refine reporting templates, presentation standards, and KPI structures to improve clarity and consistency.
- Prepare monthly management discussion and analysis covering production activity, portfolio results, collections trends, customer acquisition, and departmental performance.
- Oversee portfolio and credit performance reporting across product lines, customer segments, and origination periods.
- Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Operations, and Accounting teams to align measures and maintain data integrity.
- Integrate data from the general ledger, servicing environments, and operational systems into a unified reporting framework.
- Partner with FP&A to strengthen variance reporting, budgeting support, forecasting presentations, and scenario analysis.
- Support development of materials for lenders, owners, banking partners, and other external stakeholders.
- Drive improvements in reporting infrastructure through scalable tools and stronger governance of metric definitions, data quality, and accessibility.
Required profile
- 10+ years of experience in financial reporting, performance analysis, or a related finance leadership role.
- Proven ability to create executive‑level and board‑level reporting that blends financial results with operational insight.
- Strong knowledge of KPI development, management reporting, and financial storytelling for senior stakeholders.
- Experience analyzing portfolio, credit, or business performance metrics and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated success working across Finance, Accounting, Risk, Operations, and Strategy teams in a collaborative environment.
Required skills
- Advanced proficiency with reporting and analytics platforms such as BI tools, Snowflake, OneStream, or comparable systems.
- Solid understanding of annual financial reporting, SEC reporting concepts, and EPS‑related requirements.
