Director, Professional Services Procurement

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Director of Professional Services Procurement in Parsippany, New Jersey. The role develops and executes enterprise-wide sourcing strategies for professional services categories such as management consulting, technology, customer experience services, BPO, IT contingent labor, marketing services and select software spend. It partners with executive business stakeholders to create financial value, improve supplier performance and mitigate risk, and acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi-year sourcing roadmaps and build RFPs, negotiation playbooks and spend analytics
• Manage sourcing strategies and supplier portfolios for consulting, CX, BPO, digital transformation, IT consulting, legal services, contingent workforce and staff augmentation
• Deliver annual savings, cost avoidance and value targets, and build TCO models and business cases
• Maintain executive-level supplier relationships, performance scorecards and governance models
• Ensure supplier agreements meet corporate policies, legal, cybersecurity and regulatory requirements
• Lead, mentor and develop a procurement team, and partner with Transformation, IT and Customer Experience stakeholders

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Economics or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive procurement and strategic sourcing experience
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing procurement teams
• Significant experience sourcing and negotiating professional services, consulting and SaaS agreements
• Proven track record of cost savings, contract optimization and supplier performance improvements

• Experience leading complex, cross-functional sourcing initiatives with executive stakeholders
• Advanced analytical and financial modeling capabilities
