Director, Procurement

About the role

Carrot is seeking a strategic and hands‑on Director of Procurement to build and lead its global procurement function from the ground up. This foundational role will design sourcing, vendor management, and spend governance processes that scale with rapid growth, international expansion, and IPO readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a global procurement strategy across technology, clinical providers, professional services, and operations.
• Build scalable sourcing, contract management, and spend‑control processes that balance agility with risk management.
• Drive competitive sourcing events (RFPs, RFQs, vendor selection) and lead negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Implement vendor performance measurement (KPIs, SLAs) and risk frameworks to monitor quality and compliance.
• Partner with Finance and Legal to ensure contracts meet compliance, data‑privacy, and regulatory requirements.
• Own procurement policies, approval workflows, and internal training across the company.
• Select and roll out procurement technology that automates requisitions, approvals, and reporting.
• Deliver quarterly reporting on vendor spend, savings, and procurement KPIs to Finance leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and leading procurement functions in fast‑growing, global organizations.
• Strong ability to collaborate with Finance, Legal, Technology, People, and Commercial teams.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable cost savings and efficiency gains.
• Excellent negotiation skills and experience managing complex vendor contracts.
