Director, Private Client

About the role

BizScout is looking for an entrepreneurial leader to own and scale its Private Client program, a concierge acquisition service for serious buyers. Based in Austin, you will manage the end‑to‑end buyer journey while building the processes, team and systems needed for rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Personally manage a portfolio of Private Client engagements from intake through underwriting, deal evaluation and closing.
• Grow the client roster through outbound outreach, referrals, partnerships and leveraging BizScout’s marketplace.
• Hire, ramp and lead the sourcing function and future program team as the business scales.
• Design and implement repeatable processes, CRM workflows, reporting and tooling to reduce reliance on individual judgment.
• Own program budget, headcount, tooling and marketing spend, making trade‑offs to protect margins.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Marketing and Operations to build the required infrastructure.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in private equity, consulting, business brokerage or M&A advisory with hands‑on deal execution.
• Proven track record of building a client‑facing program from a handful of accounts into a scalable business line.
• Strong M&A judgment: able to underwrite deals, evaluate businesses and guide buyers through closing.
• Budget ownership experience with real trade‑off decisions on headcount, tooling and spend.
• Comfortable being hands‑on for an extended period, handling client calls and deal work directly.
