About the role
The Director of Strategic Campus Partnerships leads the development and management of collaborative relationships between the University of Arkansas and external academic institutions, industry partners, and community organizations. This senior position reports to senior university leadership and shapes the university’s partnership strategy to enhance research, education, and outreach.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, negotiate, and formalize strategic partnerships that align with the university’s mission and research priorities.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to design and implement partnership programs, including joint research initiatives, student exchange, and workforce development.
- Serve as the primary liaison with partner institutions, ensuring clear communication and mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Develop metrics and reporting processes to evaluate partnership performance and impact.
- Represent the university at external events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
Required profile
- Proven experience in higher‑education administration, partnership development, or related strategic roles.
- Strong understanding of academic structures, research ecosystems, and community engagement.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across campus units and external organizations.
