Director of Resident Experience

About the role

Experience Senior Living is looking for a Director of Resident Experience to lead its Resident Experience Program in Fort Collins. The program creates and organizes activities and events for residents, their families and team members, and coordinates with other departments and volunteers. The position is full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Create and organize programs for group, individual and one-on-one activities based on residents' needs
• Evaluate, approve, develop and modify community events and programs, and prepare the monthly event calendar published by the 1st of each month
• Coordinate activities with other departments, sometimes with marketing, and use LifeLoop to produce and publish calendars
• Identify and evaluate concerns that limit residents' use of medical and restorative care, and encourage participation from all residents
• Manage departmental needs and goals within the department budget
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, orienting, training, supervising and evaluating team members
• Recruit, research and approve schedules for entertainers, volunteers, religious professionals and vendors, and recruit, train and supervise volunteers
• Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned, and may drive the company bus, van or vehicle as required

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or 2 years of related experience
• All applicable certifications and licensing requirements completed
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and compliance with the company motor vehicle policy
• Able to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays

Required skills

• Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to use independent judgement and to build productive relationships with residents, families, team members and partners
• Use of standard office equipment and technology, including computers, tablets, Word, email, social media and resident experience software platforms

• Salary of $65,000-$68,000 per year
