Director of Production and Quality

About the role

Sodern America is launching its U.S. manufacturing division for space‑grade star trackers and cameras. As the Director of Production and Quality, you will lead the establishment of a new production line, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective operations that meet both customer expectations and business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all local manufacturing activities, including production planning, execution, systems integration, and testing.
• Lead quality assurance programs to maintain product compliance and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with Sodern France leadership to align throughput, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and manage the hiring of production operators, quality engineers, and logistics personnel.
• Drive workforce development, operational performance metrics, and cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Travel to France for training and alignment with the parent company.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in manufacturing and quality environments, preferably in high‑tech or aerospace sectors.
• Strong track record of building and scaling production teams.
• Ability to work cross‑culturally with international partners.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status as required by export regulations.
