Director of Product Marketing

About the role

Cogent Security is building a world‑class marketing team and seeks a founding member of product marketing. You will shape how the company is positioned in a crowded market, create clear content that resonates with security practitioners, and own messaging, positioning, and go‑to‑market enablement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve Cogent's core narrative, including category, differentiation, and tailored messaging for various personas and use cases.
• Create and maintain sales enablement assets such as decks, one‑pagers, solution briefs, and support the sales team with objection handling, pricing narratives, and proof points.
• Own product and feature launch strategy, write web and solution pages, and produce evaluation guides, ROI frameworks, and operational documentation.
• Develop customer proof materials, including case studies, quantified value narratives, and coordinate with Customer Success on reference programs.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate content drafting, variant creation, and repurposing while ensuring accuracy and quality.

Required profile

• 7‑10+ years of B2B product marketing experience, preferably in cybersecurity.
• Deep understanding of enterprise security buyers, workflows, and the competitive landscape.
• Proven track record creating positioning, sales decks, web copy, enablement assets, and launch plans.
• Excellent writing ability to explain complex security concepts clearly and credibly.
• Nice‑to‑have experience in vulnerability management, exposure management, ASM/CAASM, AppSec/CloudSec, channel partner programs, and technical evaluation processes.
