Director of Procurement – Indirect

About the role

The organization is seeking a senior leader to shape and execute regional procurement strategy for indirect and third‑party spend. Reporting to senior leadership, the Director will drive cost savings, operational excellence and risk management across the Rock Hill/Charlotte region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement regional procurement and category strategies that generate cost reductions, efficiency gains and innovation.
• Deliver measurable value across spend through demand management, process improvement and cost optimisation.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, manage performance and mitigate risk.
• Partner with business and operational leaders to align sourcing strategies with corporate objectives.
• Lead, mentor and grow a high‑performing procurement team across multiple sites.
• Champion procurement technologies and digital tools to increase visibility and efficiency.
• Support sustainability and responsible sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with global procurement teams to leverage scale and align category strategies.
• Establish performance metrics and governance for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• Professional certification such as CPSM is a plus.
• 15+ years of procurement or sourcing experience with significant leadership responsibility.
• Proven track record of leading regional or global procurement teams in complex, matrixed organisations.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost savings and business value.
• Experience managing large supplier portfolios and complex commercial negotiations.
