Director of Operations - IT Infrastructure & Server Rack Manufacturing

About the role

AMAX is looking for a Director of Operations to lead and optimize all operational functions in its fast-paced IT infrastructure and server rack manufacturing business. The role drives operational excellence through process improvement, cross-functional collaboration, on-time order fulfillment and compliance with quality and safety standards. It suits a leader with a strong manufacturing background who can improve efficiency, productivity and organizational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and improve operational workflows to remove bottlenecks, increase efficiency and cut operating costs
• Develop and run continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing and best practices
• Evaluate staff performance, set measurable objectives and build a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement
• Work with supply chain, purchasing, production and planning teams to keep materials available and schedules on time
• Oversee material planning, inventory optimization, shortage tracking and demand forecasting
• Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on schedule while meeting inventory targets
• Investigate operational issues, find root causes and put in place corrective and preventive actions
• Lead cross-functional initiatives that improve performance, quality, customer satisfaction and profitability

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive operations management experience, including leadership in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in IT infrastructure, electronics manufacturing, server rack manufacturing or related fields is highly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus

Required skills

• Strong proficiency with ERP systems
• Production planning, inventory management and supply chain operations
• Understanding of manufacturing KPIs, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement methods
