Director of Investor Relations Marketing & Communications

About the role

This senior, hands‑on position will lead investor communications, fundraising materials, and financial storytelling for a growing real‑estate investment platform. Reporting directly to executive leadership, the role partners with acquisitions, asset management and investor relations teams to translate complex investment strategies into compelling narratives for institutional investors, family offices and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of fundraising presentations, pitch books, quarterly investor reports, portfolio reviews, case studies, one‑pagers and investor updates.
• Communicate the firm’s investment thesis, track record, portfolio performance, market positioning and value‑creation strategy.
• Support capital‑raising initiatives for funds, joint ventures, co‑investments and individual acquisitions.
• Transform financial models, market research and property‑level results into clear investor narratives.
• Partner with investment and asset‑management teams to prepare portfolio updates, acquisition announcements, disposition summaries and annual‑meeting materials.
• Coordinate responses to investor requests, due‑diligence questionnaires and other fundraising‑related materials.
• Write and edit investor letters, market commentary, executive communications, website content, newsletters and transaction announcements.
• Design presentations, reports, charts, maps, property profiles, templates and other investor‑facing collateral.
• Maintain consistent messaging, brand standards, data accuracy and presentation quality across all investor communications.
• Manage investor email campaigns, digital content, the firm’s website, LinkedIn presence and external creative partners.
• Build scalable investor‑marketing processes and eventually develop a broader internal team.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of experience in investor relations, investor marketing, capital formation, financial communications or real‑estate investment marketing.
• Experience supporting fundraising efforts for private funds, joint ventures, co‑investments or other alternative investment vehicles.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating investor presentation design, financial storytelling, data visualization and sophisticated writing.
• Understanding of real‑estate investment strategies, deal structures, portfolio performance and return metrics.
• Ability to work effectively with executive leadership, investment professionals, asset managers and finance teams.
