Director of Individual Giving

About the role

The Director of Individual Giving is a senior leader on SBP’s Advancement team, responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s individual donor strategy. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this role drives revenue growth across annual, leadership, and major gift segments while leading a small team of fundraising professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a comprehensive individual giving strategy aligned with SBP’s mission and priorities.
• Set and achieve annual and multi‑year fundraising targets for annual, leadership, and major gift programs.
• Use data, forecasting, and performance insights to monitor pipeline health and adjust tactics.
• Manage a personal portfolio of major and principal gift donors, overseeing qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, board members, and cross‑functional teams to integrate fundraising goals with organizational objectives.
• Represent SBP externally, building credibility and expanding donor networks.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Individual Giving team (two full‑time reports).

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a track record of revenue growth.
• Strategic mindset and ability to set clear goals for multiple donor segments.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with high‑value donors, board members, and senior leaders.
• Experience managing and developing a small fundraising team.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
