Director of Development, Do Good

About the role

The Office of Principal Gifts within University Relations is seeking an energetic Director of Development to lead the Do Good fundraising efforts for the Do Good Institute and Do Good Campus. This senior role will manage a major‑gifts portfolio and coordinate discovery prospects across all development units.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fundraising objectives for Do Good Now, serving as primary fundraiser for the Do Good Institute and Do Good Campus.
• Manage a major‑gifts portfolio of prospects at the $50,000 level and above.
• Maintain frequent collaboration with the Director of the Do Good Institute, Associate Provost for Community Engagement, and Office of Principal Gifts to develop integrated development strategies.
• Coordinate discovery prospects across all development units and align strategies with the Provost, Do Good Campus Strategic Leadership Council, and School of Public Policy Development team.
• Travel locally (≈40%) and nationally (≈10%) and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least six years of professional development, fundraising or external relations experience.
• Proven success securing six‑figure major gifts and seven‑ to eight‑figure principal gifts.
• Ability to interact with donors, senior executives and university leaders.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and travel as required.
