About the role

The Director of Creative Services provides strategic creative leadership for Texas A&M University‑Corpus Christi, serving as the lead art director and visual storyteller. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Marketing and Communications, this senior position guides a cross‑functional team to shape and strengthen the Islander brand across all media.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and lead the university’s long‑term creative vision, visual identity, and brand standards.
• Direct the development of graphic design, photography, videography, and social‑media content for institutional campaigns, student recruitment, and advancement.
• Oversee creative workflows, production schedules, budgets, and external vendor relationships.
• Provide strategic leadership for the university’s social‑media presence and digital storytelling, including policy development and performance monitoring.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of designers, photographers, videographers, and social‑media specialists.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts, communications, marketing, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in creative direction, visual branding, and managing multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Proven ability to translate institutional priorities into compelling visual content.
