Director of Alternative Investments

About the role

The Director of Alternative Investments will join Apollon Wealth Management’s Investment Management team and report directly to the Chief Investment Officer. This senior position supports the firm’s investment platform, which serves high‑net‑worth clients with proprietary strategies, third‑party SMAs, direct indexing, and a range of alternative assets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor updates and changes to approved alternative‑investment strategies, including hedge funds, private credit, private equity, real estate, and 1031 Delaware Statutory Trusts.
• Conduct rigorous operational and investment due‑diligence on alternative strategies.
• Present new strategy recommendations to the Apollon Investment Committee and report on macroeconomic trends.
• Assist advisors in portfolio construction for high‑net‑worth clients, integrating alternative investments.
• Ensure product and marketing documentation remains current and accurate.
• Provide advisors with timely support and answers regarding the investment platform.
• Manage relationships with third‑party alternative‑investment sponsor firms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• CAIA and/or CFA designation preferred.
• 10–15 years of experience in financial services.
• 6–8 years of experience conducting due‑diligence on alternative investments.
• Strong communication abilities and self‑motivation.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
