Director, LPN/RN Bridge

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a Director to lead its LPN/RN Bridge programs across multiple campuses. This senior academic leader will oversee both instructional and administrative functions, ensuring high‑quality nursing education that aligns with state and accreditation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage the nursing bridge unit to meet technical college objectives.
• Balance teaching duties with non‑teaching administrative responsibilities.
• Evaluate performance of full‑time and part‑time faculty and staff.
• Coordinate supplies and equipment needs and obtain approvals.
• Prepare and maintain accreditation and state licensing documentation.
• Assist the Assistant Vice President of Nursing with program specifications, budgeting, and instructional planning.
• Represent the department at internal and external meetings.
• Develop and implement an educational plan for all campus locations.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Unencumbered RN licensure.
• 3‑5 years recent experience in an academic nursing unit.
• Supervisory experience in education or industry.
• Preferred: post‑secondary teaching experience, curriculum development, accreditation experience (SACSCOC, ACEN, GBON), and familiarity with Technical College System of Georgia policies.
• Advanced degree (DNP, PhD, EdD) in Nursing Education or related field is a plus.
