Simulation and Skills Lab Coordinator

About the role

The Simulation and Skills Lab Coordinator will lead the planning, coordination, and daily operation of nursing skills labs and simulation environments across assigned campuses. This position supports faculty, staff, and students in delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based clinical education.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of nursing skills labs and simulation facilities, including equipment checkout and safety protocols.
• Develop, implement, and continuously refine simulation scenarios aligned with course objectives and accreditation standards.
• Create and update policies, procedures, and guidelines for lab use and safety.
• Schedule and track usage of simulation and skills‑lab equipment across campuses.
• Ensure all activities meet ACEN standards and Georgia Board of Nursing requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Current, unencumbered RN license eligible for practice in Georgia.
• 1‑3 years of recent clinical nursing experience, preferably in medical‑surgical settings.
• Experience supporting or facilitating nursing skills labs or simulation‑based instruction.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with high‑ and medium‑fidelity simulation equipment.
• Experience using instructional technology and web‑based systems.
• Competence in computer applications relevant to instructional environments.
