Director for Philanthropic Services

About the role

The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties seeks a passionate Director for Philanthropic Services to steward donor relationships and manage established charitable funds. This in‑office position involves representing the foundation at events and collaborating with internal teams to enhance donor experience.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for a portfolio of charitable funds, preparing proposals, reports, and annual fundholder meeting materials.
• Provide personalized stewardship, including investment portfolio updates and ongoing donor communications.
• Collaborate with Community Impact Officers to design tailored giving strategies and present updates to nonprofit boards.
• Represent the foundation at community gatherings, galas, and professional networks to strengthen its leadership role.
• Work with Finance, Marketing, Operations and other teams to deliver seamless donor experiences and identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum five years of experience in business development, fundraising, or donor/family relations.
• Proven success working with high‑net‑worth individuals and professional advisors.
• Familiarity with basic investment performance and estate‑planning concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Adobe software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of donor research tools such as Wealth Engine and C‑Suite.
