Director, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will act as a strategic finance leader and trusted advisor to senior leaders across Mastercard’s North America business. The role provides financial insight, decision support and disciplined performance management to drive growth, improve predictability and meet financial commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long‑range and strategic planning aligned with North America priorities.
• Own executive‑level performance reporting, including QOR materials, variance commentary, KPI insights and recommendations.
• Analyze INER performance, trends and drivers, partnering with business and finance leaders to define and execute management actions.
• Develop financial models, scenario analyses, business cases and sensitivity assessments for strategic initiatives and investment decisions.
• Identify performance trends, risks and opportunities, translating complex financial data into clear insights for senior leadership.
• Drive ad‑hoc analysis, special projects and executive presentations to support decision‑making and execution of strategic priorities.
• Partner with business development, regional teams, controllership, corporate FP&A and global finance to strengthen outcomes and financial accountability.
• Maintain a strong control environment through governance, policy compliance, SOX awareness and audit support.
• Champion AI adoption across North America Finance by identifying use cases and embedding AI‑enabled tools into FP&A workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior finance leader providing advisory support to executive teams.
• Strong track record in budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning and performance reporting.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends and deliver actionable recommendations.
• Experience collaborating across business, regional, corporate and global finance functions.
• Commitment to governance, risk management and compliance standards such as SOX.
