Director, Finance Business Partner – Marketing & Strategic Investments (LAC)

About the role

The Director, Finance Business Partner for Marketing & Strategic Investments will lead financial planning and analysis for Mastercard's Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) marketing initiatives. This senior position bridges strategy, finance, and marketing effectiveness to drive ROI‑focused investment decisions across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary strategic finance partner to IMC LAC leadership, shaping and monitoring regional funding and investment strategy.
• Lead end‑to‑end financial management for Marketing & Communications, including budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning.
• Manage complex, multi‑market budgets with accuracy, transparency, and alignment to regional priorities.
• Drive cost optimization across campaigns, media, and sponsorship investments.
• Provide actionable financial insights to influence marketing investment decisions.
• Oversee financial governance, internal controls, and compliance.
• Negotiate and supervise external agency contracts to maximize commercial outcomes.
• Own annual planning cycles, quarterly business reviews, and performance tracking forums.
• Identify process improvements to enhance reporting and agility.
• Support new marketing investments through robust financial modeling and analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑country budgets, preferably across Latin America.
• Strong background in marketing, communications, or commercial finance.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership with financial insights.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and change‑management skills.
