Director, Corporate & Foundation Relations

About the role

The Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations is a senior member of the Division of University Advancement, responsible for building and managing strategic partnerships with corporations, private foundations, and other funding partners to support university priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate and foundation donors, guiding each through the full fundraising cycle.
• Develop and implement strategies for prospect identification, cultivation, proposal development, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Collaborate with academic units, research centers, and administrative departments to align funding opportunities with institutional priorities.
• Maintain a strategic moves‑management plan, track donor interactions, and ensure timely follow‑up using advancement database systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least ten years of progressive fundraising, corporate relations, or foundation relations experience.
• Proven ability to manage donor and external partner relationships and to produce compelling proposals and stewardship materials.
• Strong project‑management, organizational, and communication skills, with the capacity to work collaboratively with senior leaders and faculty.

Required skills

• Knowledge of corporate and foundation fundraising practices and institutional giving trends.
• Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
• Experience using donor or CRM database systems for tracking engagements and proposals.
