Director, Concept Design - Hollister
abercrombie · Columbus
Job description
About the role
The Director / Senior Director of Concept Design defines and evolves the creative and trend vision behind Hollister's design strategy. Based at the Global Home Office in Columbus, Ohio, the role translates cultural insight, global trends and brand DNA into clear creative direction for print, pattern and apparel teams, helping designers shape seasonal concepts, long-range trend narratives and creative guardrails for silhouettes, fabrics, colors and graphics. It suits someone highly creative and culturally fluent who can influence product teams without owning day-to-day design execution.

- Partner with Apparel Design leaders to inspire newness while maintaining brand consistency
- Create concept materials such as trend decks, mood boards, narratives and visual storytelling
- Influence color, material, silhouette, graphic and styling direction through concept leadership rather than direct design ownership
- Immerse yourself in the environments and communities that shape how customers dress, and share trend insights and recaps with design teams
- Work with Visual partners so product concepts translate clearly at point of presentation
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising or a related creative field, or equivalent experience
- 10-15+ years of experience in trend forecasting, concept development or creative leadership within apparel or fashion brands

- A confident creative point of view grounded in brand and consumer understanding
