Director, Business Banking Relationship Manager

About the role

The Director, Business Banking Relationship Manager will lead the acquisition, retention, and expansion of business and consumer banking relationships in the Providence market. This senior position combines client advisory, business development, and cross‑functional collaboration to deliver comprehensive financial solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Acquire, retain and grow banking relationships with business and consumer clients.
• Develop and manage new commercial client relationships and internal partnerships across the bank.
• Advise clients on financial solutions, strategies, and industry trends.
• Handle customer service issues, conducting research and following up until resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years in Business Banking Relationship Management or related business lending.
• Proven ability to analyze financial statements, cash flow and identify cross‑sell opportunities.
• Strong analytical, consulting, negotiating and communication skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of bank credit and deposit products.
• Understanding of state and federal banking compliance regulations.
• Ability to coach and mentor team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
