Direct Support Professional – Community Caregiver

About the role

Join BAYADA as a Direct Support Professional and work one‑on‑one with individuals who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help them live more independent, purposeful lives at home and in the community.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance such as dressing and grooming.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands and community outings.
• Engage clients in their favorite hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks, including meal preparation.
• Support community integration activities.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (training available through an apprentice program).
• High school diploma or equivalent (must be 18+).
• Ability to provide reliable transportation for clients.
