Digital Signal Processing Engineer

About the role

CACI is hiring a Digital Signal Processing Engineer in Sarasota, Florida, working with a fast-paced, technically diverse team that develops and supports infrastructure for software-based signal processing applications. The engineer takes part in the full IT Systems Development Life Cycle, focusing on development, integration and maintenance of new and existing mission systems, and leads or supports design and implementation of capabilities such as change/baseline management, health and status monitoring and reporting. The position requires up to 25% travel within the continental US and a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug and test signal processing algorithms running on a variety of platforms supporting intelligence, defense and other government missions.
• Design, develop, integrate and test software and DSP applications.
• Help define requirements, CONOPs and architecture for future systems.
• Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Develop analytic signal processing tools.
• Install and patch Enterprise Linux baselines, configure and manage diverse hardware, troubleshoot operational issues and maintain documentation.
• Interface with and support internal engineering and development teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., electrical or computer engineering).
• 5 years of related engineering experience.
• Background in digital signal processing and communication theory.
• Must be able to obtain TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.

Required skills

• Programming in Python, Java, C++ or another object-oriented or functional language.
• Linux software development experience.
• Desired: understanding of software-defined radio systems, X-Midas, telemetry systems, error-correcting codes, digital video formats, CUDA, containerization and Active Security certification.
