About the role
R+L Carriers is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join its Burlington Township, NJ service center. The role involves maintaining a fleet of Class 8 trucks, trailers, and related equipment on a full‑time, second‑shift schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor to major repairs on diesel engines, Class 8 trucks, trailers, forklifts, overhead doors, lift gates, and dollies.
- Handle AC and electrical system repairs, welding tasks, and trailer-specific maintenance.
Required profile
- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with Cummins and Detroit engines.
- Ability to lift 50 lb and possess personal tools.
Required skills
- Preventive maintenance on diesel engines
- AC and electrical system repair
- Experience with Cummins & Detroit engines
- Use of Cetaris work order system
- Trailer preventive maintenance and repairs
- Basic welding
What we offer
- Hourly pay $34.11 – $42.93
- Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 2nd shift (4 pm‑2:30 am)
