Desktop Support Engineer – Level 2 (6‑month contract to hire)

About the role

We are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer to join the end‑user computing team of a leading health‑insurance organization in the South Shore area of Massachusetts. This is a hands‑on Level 2 position on a six‑month contract‑to‑hire basis, providing on‑site support to a large enterprise user base while delivering a white‑glove customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals and software according to company standards.
• Build, image and configure computers for new hires and ship equipment to remote users.
• Provide Level 2 troubleshooting for Windows 11, Microsoft 365 applications and Dell hardware.
• Manage PC imaging, refresh and IMAC activities using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM).
• Support network and personal printing environments and resolve connectivity issues.
• Assist users with the enterprise mobile mail solution.
• Maintain inventory records and coordinate warranty repairs with Dell.
• Collaborate with the broader desktop team to upgrade and sustain the environment.

• Windows 11 operating system support.
• Microsoft 365 / Office 365 troubleshooting.
• PC imaging, refresh and IMAC using MECM.
• MECM Collections, Microsoft App‑V and Intune deployments.
• Active Directory administration (OUs, containers).
• Dell desktop and laptop hardware support.
• Network and personal printer environment support.
• Network connectivity troubleshooting.
• ServiceNow ticketing system experience (preferred).
