Deployment Strategist (Travel Heavy)

About the role

Column is a bank and software company that simplifies the banking supply chain for fintechs and developers. As its first Deployment Strategist, you will lead end-to-end deployments of Column's technology and operating model into partner businesses, acting as the "GM" of each deployment at the intersection of product, operations and strategy. The role is based in the San Francisco office in the Presidio, with regular travel across the United States, about 50% of the time, often embedded on site for 2-4 weeks at a time.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end deployments, from initial assessment through rollout and continuous improvement
• Identify the biggest bottlenecks to scale and design and ship the products and workflows that remove them
• Drive build vs. buy decisions for new tooling and systems needed to automate and scale
• Embed on site with operators to understand workflows and turn insights into product and operational decisions
• Own execution end to end, driving timelines, alignment and accountability across the team

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in product, business operations or a forward-deployed or solutions role at a high-growth technology company
• Track record of owning complex, high-stakes deployments or programs end to end
• Executive presence and ability to align stakeholders with different priorities around a shared goal
• Hyper-organized, able to run several workstreams across teams at once
• Comfortable spending about 50% of time on the road, embedded with teams and operations
• Scrappy, hands-on attitude
• Familiarity with banking or fintech is preferred but not required; interest in becoming an expert in the space is a must

• Base salary of $150,000-$275,000 plus equity
