Department Manager – Restaurant Operations

About the role

The Department Manager supports the General Manager in delivering a safe, efficient, and guest‑focused restaurant experience. You will lead key internal functions such as employee training, food safety, and inventory management while ensuring high standards across kitchen, service, and people operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead employee training programs and enforce food‑safety standards.
• Manage inventory, monitor costs, and introduce new menu items.
• Supervise kitchen operations to maintain food quality and safety.
• Hire, train, schedule, and coach restaurant staff to meet sales and profit goals.
• Coordinate service areas—including front counter, McCafé, and drive‑thru—to provide a memorable guest experience.
• Delegate tasks, track results, and report performance to the General Manager.
