Department Analyst – Pharmacy Operations

About the role

The Department Analyst supports pharmacy operations by implementing and optimizing clinical information systems. Working on a hybrid schedule, the analyst collaborates with clinical teams to ensure systems function as designed and support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with end‑users to define problems and provide implementation support.
• Coordinate and conduct education and training programs for system users.
• Develop clear end‑user documentation and assist with system project phases.
• Run, generate, and analyze reports, dashboards, and large data sets to support operational decisions.
• Identify service optimization opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct audits, support regulatory compliance, and assist pharmacy programs such as procurement and inventory management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and at least one year of hospital or clinical information system experience.
• Knowledge of clinical theory and practice; licensure in a related medical field is a plus.
• Strong communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work stationary for extended periods and travel throughout the hospital system.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel (advanced) and data analysis.
• Experience with SQL for data extraction.
• Ability to generate reports and dashboards.
• Familiarity with clinical information system implementation and support.
