Dental Hygienist – Flexible Schedule, No Weekends

About the role

Rockbridge Area Health Center is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to provide preventive and therapeutic oral health services to a diverse community in Virginia. The role combines clinic work with outreach programs, including school‑based and mobile dental services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dental cleanings, examinations, and patient education on oral hygiene.
• Collaborate with dentists, assistants, and the integrated health team to deliver patient‑centered care.
• Participate in school‑based and mobile dental programs to expand access to preventive care.
• Document patient records accurately and maintain compliance with health regulations.

Required profile

• Unrestricted dental hygiene license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification with hands‑on practicum.
• Eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

Required skills

• Proficiency in standard dental hygiene procedures and infection control protocols.
