Medical Assistant (CMA) – Full-Time

About the role

The Medical Assistant will support licensed medical staff in delivering high‑quality patient care at a community health center. Working onsite, you will handle both clinical and administrative tasks to keep the clinic running smoothly and ensure a positive experience for patients.

Key responsibilities

• Return patient calls and schedule referral or specialist appointments.
• Authorize and arrange diagnostic testing, including imaging and labs.
• Perform phlebotomy, finger sticks, and point‑of‑care tests such as urinalysis, rapid strep, EKG, vision screening, and pulse oximetry.
• Complete laboratory forms and other documentation required for provider orders.
• Collaborate with the Quality Improvement team to monitor best‑practice implementation and quality metrics.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CMA certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification with practicum.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Valid driver’s license (preferred) and phlebotomy experience or training (preferred).
