Dental Hygiene Clinical Instructor – Part‑Time

About the role

The Savannah Technical College Dental Hygiene Program seeks a part‑time Clinical Instructor to teach and supervise students in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings.

Key responsibilities

• Instruct, manage, and supervise individuals and groups in classrooms, labs, and clinicals using appropriate teaching methods.
• Evaluate student performance through testing and assessments, maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
• Coordinate cooperative work‑experience programs and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with faculty on curriculum, attend meetings, and maintain a safe learning environment.

Required profile

• Current Georgia Dental Hygiene or Dentist license in good standing.
• Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene (Bachelor’s preferred) from an accredited institution.
• Two years of clinical practice experience (preferred).
• Flexibility to teach day, evening, or weekend classes.
• Current CPR certification and a valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
• CPR and BLS/Heartsaver instructor certification.
• Knowledge of dental hygiene accreditation standards.
