Dental Assistant

About the role

The Dental Assistant will work under the supervision of a dentist at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus, providing both clinical and administrative support to dental caregivers and patients. This full‑time position offers a $500 sign‑on bonus and the opportunity to work in a world‑class healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments, treatments, and diagnostic radiographs.
• Obtain alginate impressions for diagnostic and intra‑oral appliances.
• Maintain dental equipment, sterilize instruments, and manage supplies.
• Perform clerical duties and ensure examination areas are prepared.
• Support clinical and operating‑room settings as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• State certification as a Dental Assistant Radiographer.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• Knowledge of dental care for medically compromised patients (cardiology, oncology, hematology, infectious disease).
• Physical ability to ambulate patients, lift up to 75 lb, and stand for most of the shift.

Required skills

• Dental radiography and image acquisition.
• Alginate impression taking and handling.
• Instrument sterilization and equipment maintenance.
• Use of dental office software and PC for data entry.
