Dean of Academic Affairs - Nursing

About the role

The Dean of Academic Affairs – Nursing will lead the academic strategy, delivery, and continuous advancement of the BSN program at Chamberlain University’s Las Vegas campus, driving excellence and student success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement of the BSN curriculum, ensuring alignment with accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Drive academic strategies to achieve strong NCLEX pass rates, retention, graduation, and student satisfaction.
• Build, mentor, coach, and evaluate a high‑performing faculty team; oversee recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
• Promote student engagement, oversee admission and progression decisions, and ensure an exceptional educational experience.
• Maintain full program compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and state board requirements; serve as liaison with accrediting agencies.
• Manage academic operations, budgets, faculty workload models, and instructional resources; lead program expansion and new initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing (Doctoral preferred) and an active, unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing education experience, including at least 3 years in progressive academic leadership.
• Proven ability to interpret and implement academic policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Strategic thinker with strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
