Daytime Hospitalist – Full‑time – Pell City, AL

About the role

TeamHealth is seeking an experienced daytime hospitalist to join the team at UAB St. Vincent St. Clair, a 40‑bed community hospital in Pell City, Alabama. This full‑time, onsite position provides single‑physician coverage during daytime hours with APC support and specialty backup within the UAB/St. Vincent system.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive inpatient care during daytime shifts.
• Maintain single‑physician coverage with assistance from an APC.
• Collaborate with specialty services for patient consultations.
• Adhere to quality metrics and contribute to hospital performance goals.
• Participate in on‑call coverage as defined by block schedule (7/7 or 14/14).

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine.
• Proven experience as a daytime hospitalist in a community hospital setting.
• Ability to work independently while integrating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
