Daytime Commissary Prep Cook

About the role

The daytime commissary kitchen prep cook prepares and packages food items sold at Barriques' seven café locations in the Madison area. The role is daytime only, Monday‑Friday, and supports both production and inventory needs.

Key responsibilities

• Read and follow recipes precisely to produce a variety of deli items.
• Weigh, measure, and pack items efficiently according to daily production schedules.
• Operate food processors, blenders, scales, and heating devices used in food production.
• Maintain a clean workspace and wash dishes before ending the shift.
• Communicate equipment maintenance needs to management.
• Assist stores with food shortages and handle invoicing and inventory as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate equipment.
• Prior food‑service experience, preferably as a prep cook or in a production kitchen.
• Ability to work well in a team, accept feedback, and take initiative.
• Strong physical stamina, attention to detail, and good organizational skills.
• Commitment to a clean environment and safe food‑handling practices.
