About the role
The Division of Rehabilitation Services is hiring a Cook II to lead and participate in food preparation for the Illinois School for the Visually Impaired. The role involves consulting with the Dietary Manager on menu planning and special diet requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Direct, instruct, and participate in the preparation of meals for students and staff.
- Consult with the Dietary Manager on master menu plans, special diets, and optimal preparation methods.
Required profile
- Energetic and organized individual with a UMP certificate.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
Required skills
- Food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Menu planning and knowledge of special dietary needs.
