Day Shift Warehouse Associate, Refrigeration

About the role

Cardinal Health's Warehouse Operations keeps life-saving drugs flowing through the pharmaceutical supply chain, handling the receipt, storage and shipment of sensitive products. This day-shift position in La Vergne, TN works Monday to Thursday, 9:00am to 7:30pm, with overtime as business needs require. The company is open to candidates with little to no warehouse experience, as all training starts on the first day.

Key responsibilities

• Follow established processes to fulfill orders: pick products accurately, perform quality control checks, pack products and prepare orders for shipment.
• Perform housekeeping and inventory control tasks and keep the work environment clean and safe.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and take part in projects as needed.
• Train and obtain certification to operate material handling equipment such as order pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, turret trucks, pallet jacks and walkie riders.

Required profile

• Little to no warehouse experience; all training is provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work comfortably at heights of 20-30 ft regularly.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for the whole shift.
• Ability to follow directions and change priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with computers or point-of-sale systems is a plus; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
