Data Entry Specialist

About the role

Carmichael International Service is looking for a detail‑oriented Data Entry Specialist to support its Import Operations team. The role focuses on opening files and entering customs entry data for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, ensuring documentation is complete and accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming emails and shipment documentation for completeness.
• Open and maintain files in the company’s operating system.
• Accurately key shipment and customs information into internal systems.
• Coordinate with operations staff to resolve documentation gaps.
• Maintain electronic records and identify discrepancies.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards and assist with special projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
