Data Center Manager

About the role

TensorWave is seeking a Data Center Manager to ensure the 24/7 availability, security, and efficiency of its AI‑focused data center. You will lead a technical team, coordinate with cross‑functional partners, and uphold the company’s high standards for reliability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and schedule a team of 8 Data Center Technicians.
• Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and skill‑gap assessments.
• Oversee inventory and RMA processes to minimize hardware downtime.
• Manage installation, cabling, and decommissioning of server, storage, and networking equipment.
• Act as primary escalation point for incidents, coordinate emergency repairs, and lead root‑cause analysis.
• Monitor power, cooling, and space utilization; partner with leadership on capacity planning.
• Supervise third‑party contractors (HVAC, electrical, security) to avoid operational disruption.
• Maintain 100% accuracy in the DCIM database and enforce physical security and OSHA safety standards.
• Lead the facility through SOC2, ISO, or HIPAA audit readiness.

Required profile

• 5+ years in data center operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience supporting 24/7 customer‑facing environments with shift scheduling and on‑call management.
• Strong written and verbal communication, especially during high‑pressure incidents.
• Proven ability to hire, train, and lead technical operations teams.
• Familiarity with ticketing and incident tracking systems such as PagerDuty, ServiceNow, or Jira.
