Data Center Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) – SkillBridge Program

About the role

Apollo’s SkillBridge program offers active‑duty U.S. military service members a hands‑on training experience as Electrical Data Center Commissioning Engineers. Participants will work on mission‑critical data center projects, receive mentorship from senior engineers, and gain industry certifications that can lead to full‑time employment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct commissioning activities for electrical, EPMS, and BMS systems in data centers.
• Create and implement detailed commissioning plans, procedures, and checklists for Level 2‑5 systems.
• Review design documents, submittals, and equipment specifications.
• Perform site inspections, functional performance tests, and system verifications.
• Witness equipment testing, validate sequences of operation, and document results.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and data‑center operators to maintain schedules.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and safety issues.
• Generate comprehensive commissioning reports and communicate status to clients.
• Provide training and support to data‑center staff on system operation and maintenance.

Required profile

• Active‑duty U.S. military service member or reservist on active‑duty orders, eligible for the DoD SkillBridge program.
• Highly motivated with strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work a standard 40‑hour week, including possible nights or weekends.
• Commitment to adhere to industry standards, codes, and regulations.
