Dairy Processing Team Leader - 3rd Shift

About the role

Kraft Heinz is hiring a Dairy Processing Team Leader for the 3rd shift in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. The role leads the cream cheese process team, supports the Supervisor and Business Unit Manager on decisions, and ensures safety, quality and cost targets are met. The starting wage is $34 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate operators according to their needs, competencies and cost considerations, and facilitate reliefs during breaks
• Initiate corrective actions and report deviations from production, quality, safety and cost goals to the Supervisor
• Ensure safety, product quality and hygiene (GMP, HACCP, ISO) rules are followed and protect employees in the area of responsibility
• Enter production data and post results and consumption data in SAP (direct issue)
• Take part in start-up and hand-off meetings, and resolve shift emergencies such as call-ins and safety issues
• Clean and sanitize equipment and facilities daily in line with Kraft Heinz sanitation procedures
• Identify operator training needs, support cross-training, and lead operator meetings such as Green Rooms and CI meetings
• Participate in continuous improvement work groups, report equipment and automation issues, and invite operators to improve safety, quality, cost and delivery
• Provide feedback on the cream cheese process and comply with all plant rules and policies

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the cheese or dairy industry
• Able to speak, read and write English; able to lift up to 50 pounds and work extended hours and weeks
• Self-starter who can work with minimal direction, makes decisions independently and adapts to change
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, internal and external

Required skills

• Digital literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software
• Ability to read and interpret chart data
