About the role

Join Applied Materials as a Customer Support Technician I, providing on‑site maintenance and technical support for semiconductor equipment in Chandler, AZ. You will work directly with customers to ensure equipment reliability and satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily preventive and remedial maintenance within assigned territory.
• Perform tier‑II start‑ups, assist with tier‑III start‑ups, and conduct warranty and service contract activities.
• Instruct customers on equipment operation and maintenance, and troubleshoot process variations.
• Track equipment performance, implement productivity improvements, and use statistical process control.

Required profile

• Physically able to walk, stand, lift up to 35 lb, work in clean‑room attire and tight spaces.
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction and ability to communicate with front‑line management.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance procedures
• Tier‑II equipment start‑up processes
• Statistical Process Control (SPC) knowledge
