Customer Support Representative – Case Examination

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis is seeking a Customer Support Representative to join its Treasury Services Department. In this role you will examine case files, verify entitlement, and provide accurate information to the public regarding U.S. Treasury retail products such as Savings Bonds.

Key responsibilities

• Review, examine, and interpret forms, legal evidence, and savings bond documentation to ensure compliance with Treasury regulations.
• Maintain accurate digital customer records and utilize multiple software applications to retrieve and relay information.
• Interact with customers via telephone and written communication, providing clear guidance and resolving inquiries.
• Apply critical thinking to meet accuracy, timeliness, and completeness metrics.
• Support process improvements by identifying trends and assisting with peer training and mentoring.
• Complete ad‑hoc assignments and contribute to project work as needed.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service or operations experience.
• U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident with at least three years of legal residency.
• Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving ability, and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using internet‑based and web‑based applications.
• Ability to perform data entry across multiple software platforms.
