Customer Support Associate

About the role

Techtronic Industries Power Equipment, a subsidiary of TTI, is hiring a Customer Support Associate for its Anderson, SC office. The role handles inbound calls from consumers, service centers and distributors about company policies, procedures, warranties and service, and works onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Respond accurately to consumer, service center and distributor calls about company policies and procedures.
• Verify and authorize warranty coverage for all callers.
• Provide helpful direction on warranty and non-warranty service and resolve issues while enforcing policy flexibly.
• Guide callers to where they can buy parts and receive repair service.
• Work with internal customers on warranty claims, stock issues and lost or damaged freight.
• Enter orders, give pricing and stock availability, and share order status with customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school education or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in customer service, call center or a closely related field with inbound call experience.
• Strong written and verbal skills and excellent phone skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with callers and to handle irate callers and high-stress situations professionally.
• Ability to satisfy consumers and end users with minimal need for management intervention.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Access is a plus.
