Customer Service Representative - Part Time

About the role

Circle K is hiring a part-time Customer Service Representative for its Store 2743064 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (4924 Baum Blvd.). The position covers days, evenings and overnight shifts, and involves serving customers, operating the fuel console and other machines, and keeping the store tidy and stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service: greet customers, give assistance and suggestions, and ring up sales accurately on the cash register.
• Operate the fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine and telecom transactions.
• Keep the store clean and safe, report equipment failures or maintenance needs to the Store Manager, and complete build-to orders and verify vendor deliveries.
• Maintain adequate stock, rotate it properly, and display advertising and pricing signage.
• Control cash, sales and inventory, keep accurate records, and report discrepancies or incidents such as theft or injury to the Store Manager.
• Keep shift and timekeeping paperwork accurate, attend job-related meetings, and perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred; retail sales experience preferred.
• Ability to arrive on time and work as scheduled, with regular onsite attendance.
• Ability to perform the physical demands: lifting up to 30 pounds overhead and up to 50 pounds to waist, bending, reaching overhead, standing and walking for a full shift, and occasional exposure to cold temperatures in a walk-in cooler or freezer.

Required skills

• Ability to operate cash registers, scanners, hot or cold beverage dispensers and other machines.
• Basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to communicate clearly and work with minimum direction and periodic supervision.

Hiring range: $15.00 to $15.50.
